Mashem Cricket Club put on a spectacular show with the bat and ball to storm into the next round of the 44th Nanda Lolyekar Trophy on Sunday, crushing Betalbatim SC by 184 runs at the Nirakar Ground.
After winning the toss, Mashem CC chose to bat and were unstoppable. Betalbatim SC struggled to keep up with the relentless scoring. Their bowlers, led by Satish Mandrekar (2/67), tried hard but could not stem the flow, while Rajshad Shaikh and Narciv Talaulikar picked up a wicket each.
Chasing a mammoth target, Betalbatim never got going. Only brief resistance came from Kishan Tudalkar (18), Satish Mandrekar (15), and *Nehal Komarpant (12)**.
