Goa judokas shine at National Black Belt and NDIC exam

The Goa Judo Association has applauded the outstanding performance of Goan judokas who excelled at the recently held National Black Belt and NDIC Examination conducted by the Judo Federation of India at Peddem.

A long list of determined athletes earned their Black Belt grades, reflecting years of discipline, training, and perseverance.
Shodan (1st Dan) titles were awarded to: Masoom Alauddin, Riya Gaude, Malissa Dsouza, Riyansha Naik, Neha Sawant, Saiprasad Naik, Rajdeep Dessai, Mayur Kolekar, Harshit Sadhya, Nippu Yadav, Mahindra Singh, and Nilofer Javali.

At the Nidan (2nd Dan) level, the successful candidates were Shaman Prabhu, Dinesh Kumar Prasad, and Vinayak Dessai.
For Sandan (3rd Dan), Jaya Patil and Vishant Alekar were recognised for their expertise, while Kripesh Vengurlekar accomplished the impressive feat of securing Yondan (4th Dan).

In the NDIC (National Diploma in Coaching) category, Vishant Alekar, Arjun Kadam, and Kripesh Vengurlekar also cleared their examinations, marking another significant achievement in their judo careers.

To honour their hard work, all black belt achievers were felicitated in the presence of key sports officials: Gurudutta Bhakta, Secretary of the Goa Olympic Association and former GJA President; Kripesh Vengurlekar, General Secretary of the Goa Judo Association; and Executive Committee Member Rupesh Kalangutkar.

The Goa Judo Association praised the dedication of every participant and reiterated its commitment to supporting and developing judo talent across the state, ensuring Goa continues to shine on the national stage.
